OUR STORY
Santos & Seixo is a project with the ambition to offer high quality wines, from the various regions of Portugal. Together preserving the traditions of each region.
In 2010, the founding partners, Alzira dos Santos and Pedro Seixo moved forward with their dream project with a clear vision to make wines with a careful production and bring a new perspective to Portuguese wines. The dream came true when that same year.
Our flagship label comes to life, Santos da Casa, with our very first range of high quality premium wines from the main Portuguese wine regions, Douro and Alentejo.
This same year a big step was taken towards the World, when our exports were iniciated with our first sale of Santos da Casa Grande Reserva Douro to Canada.
This year was marked by the Group's first aquisition of land in the Douro Wine region. 3 hectares that symbolize the beginning of the continuous growth.
This year marked the beginning of a new adventure.
The growth of this family business opened the door to a new reality by acquiring early in the year, Encosta do Sobral, a property in the sub-region of Tomar, located in the northernmost vineyards of Tejo, distinguished by its schist terrains.
Adding to the Group's portfolio, the acquisition of Quinta do Outeiro in the Baixo Corgo sub-region of Douro, opened a new door to opportunities and dimension to this family oriented Business.
With 25 hectares and an investment in a new wine cellar, acquiring this new property came to establish and solidy the presence in the region, completing to this date a total of 45ha of vineyard between their properties: Quinta do Cevêr and Quinta do Outeiro.
Having a vinification capacity of 600,000 liters.
Today, Santos & Seixo owns properties throughout Portugal, producing wines from five difference regions, Tejo, Douro, Vinhos Verdes and Alentejo.
Continuing its growth, but always preserving the youthful, vibrant and familiar spirit.
